Hymenophyllum novoguineense[1] är en hinnbräkenväxtart som först beskrevs av Eduard Rosenstock, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Kunio Iwatsuki. Hymenophyllum novoguineense ingår i släktet Hymenophyllum och familjen Hymenophyllaceae.[2][3] Inga underarter finns listade.[2]
