Bombus diligens[2][3][4][5] är en biart som beskrevs av Smith 1861. Den ingår i släktet humlor och familjen långtungebin.[6][7] Inga underarter finns listade.[6]
Beskrivning[redigera | redigera wikitext]
Arten är svart med röd päls på de tre sista (hos honorna) respektive fyra sista (hos hanarna) tergiterna (bakkroppssegmenten på ovansidan). Den svarta pälsen på huvudet har iblandade vita hår.[8] Vingarna är mörkbruna.[9] Drottningarna är 18 till 23 mm långa, arbetarna 14 till 18 mm och hanarna 18 mm.[8]
Ekologi[redigera | redigera wikitext]
Humlan lever i tall- och ekskogar på höjder mellan 1 300 och 2 500 m.[8] Den flyger till många olika växter, som Donnellsmithia hintonii bland flockblommiga växter, batater bland vindeväxter, salviasläktet bland kransblommiga växter, Cuphea procumbens bland fackelblomsväxter och potatissläktet bland potatisväxter.[10]
Utbredning[redigera | redigera wikitext]
Utbredningsområdet omfattar Mexiko (Distrito Federal, delstaterna Hidalgo, México, Sinaloa, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán de Ocampo, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosi och Veracruz) samt Guatemala.[11]
