ลักษณะเป็นตราอาร์ม พื้นโล่แบ่งเป็น 3 ส่วน ประกอบด้วย

  • หัวโล่ช่องซ้ายบน พื้นสีชมภู เป็นภาพพระเกี้ยว หมายถึง ทรงเป็นพระราชนัดดาในพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว พระมหากษัตริย์รัชกาลที่ 5 แห่งราชวงศ์จักรี
  • หัวโล่ช่องขวาบน พื้นสีแดง เป็นภาพพระอาทิตย์ชักราชรถโถงเทียมราชสีห์ หมายถึง ทรงเป็นพระโอรสในนายพลเรือเอก พระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ กรมหลวงชุมพรเขตอุดมศักดิ์
  • ท้องโล่ช่องล่างสุด เป็นภาพตราจักรสมอปีกนพื้นสีน้ำเงินกรมท่า หมายถึง ทรงรับราชการทหารเรือ และทรงครองพระยศนายทหารสัญญาบัตรของกองทัพไทยทั้ง 3 เหล่าทัพ (พระยศสุดท้ายเป็นที่พลโท พลเรือโท และพลอากาศโท)
