The picture depicts the crossing of Huskvarnavägen to/from Vättersnäs in the town of Jönköping (to the right) and (old) Grännavägen (in the foreground). Huskvarnavägen continues eastwards in Torsgatan to Huskvarna city center (to the left, immediately outside of the picture). Grännavägen at this time was part of National Highway No 1. The road signs are of the type used up to around 1958 (top) signs used from 1958 (bottom) and directs high way traffic towards Malmö and Göteborg.
To the left, on a little hill. is the gazebo (Swedishː lusthus), that H.C. Mörk built in the 1850s'. According to Jönköpings läns museum the picture depicts "Kavla smidesverkstad vid gamla Riksettan" (Kavla forging workshop at old national highway no 1). Collection in Jönköpings läns museum. Coordinatesː 57 47 33 N 14 16 00 E.
